Pepper Advertising Graphic Artist, Dameon Edwards, has been honoured with our ‘Golden Pepper Award’. Edwards received the award which is given to the company’s ‘Employee of the Year’, at Pepper’s recent Christmas luncheon.
Despite only having joined the Pepper team in October 2011, Edwards is described by his colleagues as being ‘an excellent example of what a Pepper employee should be’. The criteria for the award include performance and attitude competencies and the winner is voted for by the company’s staff.
Skilled as an Illustrator and a Graphic Artist, Edwards is a graduate of the John Donaldson Technical Institute and has over 10 years of experience in the advertising industry. Aside from his love for illustration and design, Edwards finds balance in being an active member of his Pentecostal church community. He is a member of the church’s board, lead singer of the worship team and is also involved in several youth ministries.
Bjorn Stodart, Creative Team Lead at Pepper, presented Edwards with the award. He remarked: “Dameon is an exemplary employee who brings tremendous value to our Creative Team. His positive ‘can do’ attitude is extraordinary as he tackles each assignment with a smile. He brings positive energy to work every day”.
On accepting the award, Edwards said, “In the time that I’ve been at Pepper, I’ve had the opportunity to grow in my craft. It’s such a rewarding experience seeing clients’ strategies come alive in my designs. I love working at Pepper so it makes performing at my best easy”.
