Liliana Ragbir’s The 25-year-old General Manager
Liliana Ragbir is only 25 years and is already general manager of Pepper Advertising Agency. Ragbir who is about to complete her MBA with Heriot-Watt University already has a vision of the direction she wants Pepper Advertising to go in. What is even more interesting is that she is the youngest employee of the 15-person company. She started off as an Account Coordinator at Pepper Advertising in 2007. Before Pepper Advertising, she was an intern at the Family Court.
She started her work life with the on-the-job (OJT) programme in early 2007 with the Ministry of Social Development. By March 2007 she was made an offer by Pepper Advertising which she immediately grabbed. She quickly worked her way up and, by 2008, she was appointed the Director of Client Services. She continued her hard work and, by August of this year, she was appointed as general manager. She described the move up the corporate ladder as “challenging.” “It has its challenges, earning the respect of my peers, but I’ve had a good coach in my boss Dennis Ramdeen, the Managing Director. I also lean on the experiences of the more experienced employees in the company. After all I am the youngest.”
