JOB PURPOSE

• Be a partner on the leadership team providing accurate and timely information and sound financial advice

• Responsible for the entire accounting process including:  accounts receivable, accounts payables, general ledger close,

  monthly management reports and other related reports as required

• Provides admin support for medical plan, employee record maintenance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly management reports for senior management with analysis and comments and proactive ad hoc reports to assist in the management of the business

• Implement the job-costing system to provide regular reports on job’s revenues/expenses

• Management of Accounts Receivable:

  – Preparation of invoices to clients based on job bags and media orders

  – Collection of outstanding receivables including statement preparation and distribution and follow-up action

  – Recording and data-entry of receipts

•  Responsible for Accounts Payable:

  – Reviewing supplier’s invoices, ensuring required approvals/authorization, entering in accounting system

  – Entering media bills in accounting system and ensuring related Excel reports maintained

  – Reconciling media bills (AP) with media sales invoices (AR)

  – Data-entry and reconciliation of credit card transactions

  – Payments to suppliers by due dates

  – Ensuring on-time payment of all Government remittances, e.g. VAT, PAYE, Health Surcharge and NIS, Quarterly Corp Tax and Green Fund Levy 

• Maintain accounting schedules including: Fixed Asset Depreciation, Prepayments and Accruals

• Assist with monthly payroll: Either process directly or review the work of outsourced firm

• Assist in HR administration:

  – Processing health plan applications, claims

  – Employee leave records

  – Preparing correspondence as instructed by the directors

• Ensure accounting records are maintained/filed including invoices, cheques, letters etc.

• Other related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Education, Skills and Training:

• CIMA, CMA, ACCA or similar designation

• Ability to handle confidential issues

• Excellent communication skills

• Critical thinking skills

Experience Required:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position

• Experience with cost accounting systems and reporting

The following are considered as assets:

• Agency experience

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks
