On receiving the year-end honour at Pepper Advertising’s recent Christmas Dinner, Siobhan Smith said, “I am very grateful to receive the Golden Pepper Award as it indicates that I am living up to our mantra of collaborating with my peers with passion, to help our clients’ brands soar.”
The annual Golden Pepper Award recognises the person who best represents Pepper’s values of accountability, continuous learning, showing kindness and having fun working to make clients’ brands better. This year, the accolade went to Siobhan Smith, an Account Strategist for close to three years. “My journey with Pepper, from the first day, has been one of learning and facing challenges to find effective ways to raise brand awareness and help our clients plan and execute their marketing.”
Pepper General Manager, Keitha Oliver praised Siobhan’s tenacity. “Despite managing demanding clients, long hours, and competing priorities, Siobhan maintained her composure and professionalism. She approached every challenge with grace and unwavering commitment. Siobhan’s calm demeanor under pressure and dedication to her clients make her an invaluable member of our team and a worthy recipient of this year’s Golden Pepper.”, she said.
Ms Smith, who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of the West Indies, has been working in the field of advertising for over 7 years. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and sculpting. Her number one joy is her daughter Vida, who inspires her every day. Though humbled by the award, she said that she appreciates it as she felt that this year has been a tough one, as clients face unprecedented challenges and rely on the agency to support them on tight timelines. On accepting the Golden Pepper, Siobhan asked that the team continues to support each other, as she thinks this helps to make the Pepper culture unique.
