With all the attention being paid to social media, this blog is about anti-social media. Here’s some anti-social media:
- TV ads that run 4 times in back to back breaks and 8 times in an hour and half programme
- Billboard ads that have more copy and graphics than a cereal box
- Radio ads for beer that run at 7.00 am
- Branded company vehicles that like they were in an African Safari rally
- Supermarket sampling while attendant on their cell
- Websites that are really dated billboards
- Branded company vehicles with a beer sticking out the driver’s window
- Sponsorships that match the marketing manager’s taste more than the brand
- Getty images just grabbed and inserted
- Radio voices that are overused
- TV lip syncs using another known voice
- Corporate facebook pages masquerading as friends
- Spam texting
