If you were going to do only one thing right in marketing, a good place to start is with the product. Putting lip stick on a pig, it’s still a pig. Not having the perfect location will hurt but people will make the extra effort to find you, if it’s that good. Your pricing might be causing you to leave money on the table or be scaring away some. But wrong price isn’t always a fatal flaw.
But if you have a crappy product, the game is over. This applies if you are selling a funeral home, insurance policies, an ad agency’s services or anything for that matter.
I have found a brand that’s serving up the best soup on the planet. I am literally hooked on this soup. They have put my mother-in-law’s legacy in jeopardy. Their oxtail soup is probably the best lunch I have had for the entire year. I keep going back and it’s always the same.
Richard Quamina, the boss of “De Boss Ah…Soup” gets it. And he’s having all his competitors for lunch.
